Landscape Management Group Team about landscape managementIn the summer of 2008, Mike began traveling door to door in Centerville, Ohio with a wheelbarrow, a push mower, and a few hand tools to earn money for his college tuition. This soon turned into a viable business and was named Mike’s Landscaping, LLC. Once Mike could afford it, he bought his first pickup truck where he stored all his company’s equipment in the bed of this truck covered with a tarp until he could afford a small garage.

Fast forward a few years and you can now find a team of experts rebranded as Landscape Management Group serving customers in major cities throughout Ohio cities with a strong vision to continue to expand. With its home base right here in Columbus Ohio, Landscape Management Group has proven to be a trusted and reliable household name in the Greater Columbus area.

The best part about working for LMG is the team I work with. Everyone is extremely hard working and dedicated to their work. The various things we provide are exciting and not bland, we offer a vast array of services. The innovation of this company makes it great to work for. I’m excited to watch this company continue to grow!

Life outside LMG:

My family is my number one priority in life (work family included). Outside of work, I love riding bikes through downtown Columbus with my two amazing kids and checking out the city’s restaurants and festivals. I enjoy working out and playing basketball and volleyball (both of which I take way too seriously for someone who isn’t getting paid to play).

I also play guitar and piano, and if I could find the time, I’d love to get back to playing on the worship team at church. I’m always up for a good hike or a trip abroad when the opportunity comes up. And I’m proud to be part of a fast-growing business team making serious moves across Central Ohio and beyond.

With over 20 years of experience in the landscape industry, I’ve gained extensive knowledge in everything from estate management to large commercial construction. I’m a certified professional with credentials with the National Association of Landscape Professionals, OSHA, First Aid, and CPR. I enjoy the challenges that come with working in an ever-changing outdoor environment.

What drew me to Landscape Management Group was the people—hardworking, innovative, and never afraid to push the industry forward. LMG is on an upward trajectory, embracing cutting-edge methods to do things better for our clients and the companies we work with, and I wanted to be part of that momentum.

Life outside LMG:
Outside of work, I’m an avid mountain biker and cyclist—I try to ride daily whenever I can. I also enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors. Staying active and embracing new challenges, whether on the trails or in my work, keeps me motivated every day.

Chad brings a strong background in marketing and a passion for landscape design to the LMG team. After leadership roles across four states, he transitioned into landscape sales in Texas—and quickly found his niche. Now back in his hometown of Columbus, Chad values being part of a company that prioritizes craftsmanship and client collaboration.

When my family and I moved back to Ohio, I knew I wanted to join a company that valued craftsmanship over volume, a team that prioritized quality and the transformation of a client’s vision into something tangible. That’s exactly what I found at LMG.

For me, the most rewarding part of the job is guiding clients through the entire process, from the first idea to the final reveal. Working with such a talented design team to bring those dreams to life is what motivates me every day.

Life outside LMG:

When he’s not guiding clients through their outdoor transformations, Chad’s with his family or cheering on Ohio State football. Fun fact: he spent his early years traveling the country with his family’s music group.

I get to work with a lot of amazing talented people in their perspective trades. I’ve worked in this industry for close to 15 years and I am still continuing my education on the daily as new projects, materials and industry standards continue to present themselves and progress with technology.

It is never boring that’s what I love about it. I also am able to work in the outdoors so that’s a plus as well.

Life outside LMG:
I Love my family and friends. My wife and I spend as much time doing activities with our 3 kids as we possibly can. I’m an avid outdoorsman when the time presents itself. I like hunting, fishing, hiking, and rock climbing. I also appreciate a good off road experience as well.

I joined Landscape Management Group because I saw the opportunity to be part of something great. With over four decades of experience across multiple industries, I’ve developed a deep understanding of business operations, project management, and construction. My career began in agriculture, where I spent 16 years managing a large-scale farm before transitioning into commercial and industrial project management for 13 years.

Eventually, I moved into custom home building and later expanded into landscape and pool construction, where I’ve had the privilege of turning backyard dreams into reality. Seeing the impact of our work and being part of a strong, dedicated team makes this job incredibly rewarding.

Life Outside LMG:

Outside of work, I am deeply invested in my family’s activities, especially supporting my grandchildren’s sports endeavors. I also enjoy playing a round of golf whenever I get the chance.

With 9 years in the creative industry, my background spans video editing, motion graphics, directing, and social media management. I joined Landscape Management Group because it’s a place where creativity meets craftsmanship. The company’s dedication to design excellence and innovation resonates deeply with my passion for storytelling. At LMG, I get to bring landscaping to life through compelling visuals that not only showcase our work but also inspire and connect with our audience.

The most rewarding part of my role is creating videos that spark imagination—giving clients a glimpse of what’s possible and helping them envision the transformation of their own space. It’s incredibly fulfilling to play a part in building trust and excitement before the project even begins.

Life Outside LMG:
Outside of work, I love hiking, composing music, traveling, and capturing the world through photography. A fun fact about me? My grandfather ran in the 1936 Olympics for Canada—a legacy that continues to inspire me to push boundaries in everything I do.

LMG also offers a unique opportunity to gain broad and valuable experience in the field, all while having the full support of my coworkers. This environment has made my transition from school to the professional world exciting and fulfilling.

Life Outside LMG:
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time playing video games and hanging out with my cats. This year, I’m hoping to do more traveling as I can. A fun fact about me? During my time in school, I had the incredible opportunity to do a traditional grand tour, spending a month in Rome and a few weeks backpacking through Europe.

I’m happiest when I’m outside enjoying good weather, whether it’s walking a trail or discovering a new park. I’m also a big fan of board games, video games, and spending quality time with friends. And a fun fact about me? My birthday lands on one of the rarest days of the year—Christmas Eve!

The best part about working for LMG is being able to work outdoors. I really do enjoy being outside, so it’s great to have a job that offers that opportunity. Working with our clients is another great part about this job, seeing the design come to life is truly amazing.

Life outside LMG:
I am a huge concert lover, in fact I have been to about 500, with another 8 scheduled this year. I’ve seen Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson and Riley Green. My favorite artist is Eric Church. I enjoy spending my time being outside whether it’s hunting or fishing. I usually fish in ponds or lakes, but anywhere the bass are you’ll find me!

I like to be with family and my newborn son Leo Jackson! Fishing, taking walks and honestly just enjoying my free time, what little time I get, but the most important thing is just being happy.

What I love most about working at LMG is that it brings together everything I value about landscaping and client service. With my background in carpentry, culinary arts, and landscape installation, I get to combine all my skills to help create the elaborate projects that LMG is known for. My favorite part of any project is knowing I’ve done everything I can to make sure the customer is happy. Seeing their smile when they see the finished result is absolutely priceless to me.

Life Outside LMG:
Outside of LMG, my life revolves around my church and my family—my wife, children, and loved ones. I’m a huge Ohio State football fan and proudly bleed scarlet and gray. When it’s not football season, you can usually find me in my woodshop working on projects. My time is devoted to faith and family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Life Outside LMG:
I own a business doing collectibles, I get to find consignments from famous people and sell them. I really love this job as well because I get to meet many new people and travel. Within traveling I see a lot of cultures and parts of the world! When I’m not doing this, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones or taking my dogs to the park!
